Optometric Vision Therapist (Training Provided)
The Center for Vision Development is seeking a passionate full-time Vision Therapist to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who loves connecting with people of all ages—kids, teens, and adults—and finds joy in helping others succeed. All vision therapists are fully trained in-house and work closely with our doctors and team, ensuring strong support and collaboration. We are a close-knit practice that values teamwork, growth, and meaningful impact.

Founded in 2004, we are the longest-established vision therapy practice in Austin. Our team of developmental optometrists specializes in vision therapy and is deeply committed to patient-centered care.
Our therapists come from diverse backgrounds—nursing, education, nutrition, caregiving, exercise science, and medical administration—but share a common passion for helping people. We pride ourselves on professionalism, strong relationships, and delivering care that consistently goes above and beyond.

Compensation & Benefits

Schedule
Full-Time | Monday–Friday
- Mon–Thu: 10:00am–7:00pm*
- Fri: 9:00am–6:00pm
- 1-hour lunch break
*1–2 weekdays may shift to 11:00am–7:00pm
Responsibilities
- Complete in-house training (hands-on, independent study, and reviews)
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered vision therapy
- Work one-on-one with patients (primarily school-aged children)
- Document session notes accurately
- Collaborate with optometrists and team members
- Administer and record visual processing evaluations
- Communicate home activities and progress with families
- Maintain a clean, organized therapy environment
Ideal Background
Experience working with children, education/tutoring, PT/OT/speech therapy, optometry, or strong customer service is highly valued. Excellent communication and people skills are essential.
We are the longest-established vision therapy practice in Austin founded in 2004 and we opened our Waco practice in 2018. Our team is led by developmental optometrists who specialize in vision therapy. Our patients are all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities. Our team of vision therapists have various backgrounds including nursing, nutrition, caregiving, medical billing, and exercise science. We appreciate various backgrounds and experiences.
